An Evidenced-based Screening and Support Programme for Junior Primary Students with English Learning Difficulties

Well-being Theatre | DEI Theatre (Curated by EdCity)

Overview

Since its inception in 2021, the Jockey Club Project RISE aims to empower educators in nurturing the English literacy skills of junior primary students with English Learning Difficulties (ELD) through developing a standardised screening tool (HKT-PE(J)) and a Tier-2 intervention curriculum (RISE curriculum). The project also provides comprehensive professional development training to equip teachers with effective strategies to foster an inclusive learning environment. Participants will gain insights into the evidence-based approach, including practical applications of the screening tool and curriculum, which can ultimately enhance their capacity to support at-risk students in their English learning journey.
