AI Tools for Primary English Learning & Teaching: Engaging Writing and Speaking Practice

Overview

As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly integral to modern education, its role in primary English language teaching offers exciting possibilities. This workshop will introduce technologies developed in our QEF project that support young learners in developing their English writing and speaking skills. Participants will explore automated systems that provide detailed feedback on student writing. The speaker will also demonstrate how AI can assist students in practicing oral English skills for picture description and presentations. Additionally, brief insights into AI-supported English reading and listening tasks will be provided, showcasing their potential to enrich the overall language learning experience.
