Enhancing Practical Science Education Through Video Documentation: A Comparative Study of Digital Innovation in Secondary Education

This presentation explores the integration of video documentation in secondary science education through BYOD policies. The study demonstrates how video recording experiments enhances student learning outcomes through three theoretical frameworks: IPR Theory, Self-Regulated Learning, and the Hawthorne Effect. Using data from a comparative study of 60 students, the research shows significantly improved practical exam performance when students use personal devices to record and review experiments. The presentation highlights how this approach transforms traditional laboratory assessment methods and promotes deeper learning through self-reflection and detailed feedback.
