[Principals' Conference] Well-being – Whole of Organisation Effort – How Does It Work?
NextGen Arena
Overview
[Principals' Conference - by Invitation Only] With more than 13,000 full-time staff and 48,500 students in the community, the National University of Singapore (NUS) Health and Well-being (HWB) unit developed the NUS’ Mental Well-being Framework (‘WellNUS Framework’) to systematically coordinate the relevant evidence-based action plans. The seminar will offer an overview of the framework and its practical application within NUS. It will also explore how the systematic implementations of the respective programmes were reinforced through the university-wide destigmatisation campaign (‘AreuOK Campaign’) in 2021 and 2022, and ‘(kind)mind Campaign’ since 2023. These campaigns have helped to de-stigmatise mental health conditions by fostering a culture of kindness, trust and empathy around mental health. Lastly, Dr Tay will share how one can measure the impact of such initiatives using validated scales and measures.
