Overview
This presentation will introduce the ‘Virtual Study Tours Teaching Materials – Chinese History & Life and Society (currently named as Citizenship, Economics and Society)’. They are designed to align with school curriculum, creating interesting and engaging topics for the junior secondary students. In addition, the teaching materials incorporate VR technology and virtual learning tools, aiming to support teachers in their teaching, inspire students' interest in learning, and enhance their learning effectiveness of Chinese history, culture and national conditions.
The teaching materials consist of 16 topics which have been uploaded to the website of The Academy of Chinese Studies and have also been printed as resource booklets.
The expected outcomes of the sharing session –
1. Broadening Horizons
The panoramic photos and resources featured in the virtual exhibition hall introduced in the teaching materials will enrich the depth and breadth of students’ learning experiences.
2. Alignment with Chinese Culture and Values Education
The teaching materials integrate topics such as cultural exchange, the inheritance of Chinese culture, heritage conservation, and social development, cultivating students’ positive values and attitudes.
3. Improving the Learning Atmosphere
The innovative use of panoramic photos and VR technology in the teaching materials effectively boosts students' motivation and makes the learning environment more dynamic.
