Well-being Theatre | DEI Theatre (Curated by EdCity)
Overview
This school's mental wellness arts programme is collaboratively designed by the Visual Arts, Music, Information Technology, Religious Studies, History, Values Education, and Social Work departments. It aims to help students cultivate self-awareness, enhance focus, and establish inner peace and stability through diverse artistic forms.
In the junior secondary curriculum, students will learn ‘Art Synesthesia’, combining visual and auditory experiences while exploring the integration of art and technology through information technology. The course themes include ‘Love Through Sound’ for Year 1, ‘Harmonious Voices’ for Year 2, and ‘Musical Journey in Dalan’ for Year 3, allowing students to relieve emotions and discover the beauty of life through creation.
In the senior secondary stage, the focus is on a five-sense artistic experience, incorporating mindfulness practices to appreciate the stillness and calm within art, fostering positive thinking. The course themes include ‘Calm Cushion’ for Year 4, ‘Tea Time in Tranquility’ for Year 5, and ‘Hanging On to You’ for Year 6, promoting students' self-growth and spiritual nurturing, empowering them to thrive in adversity.
