Implementing a School-based Value Education Curriculum in special Schools Using the 10P Model
Well-being Theatre | DEI Theatre (Curated by EdCity)
Overview
This school implements the ‘10P Model’ to promote knowledge, emotions, and actions in value education, aiming to cultivate each student into a self-respecting, self-confident, self-disciplined, and independent ‘Positive Morninghopers’. As a school for students with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities, the speaker’s team firmly believes that every student possesses inner brilliance and potential, which can flourish in a supportive and positive environment.
This school’s teaching practices are based on the Education Bureau's ‘Value Education Curriculum Framework (Trial Version)’, emphasising the integration of cognition, emotions, and practice to help students establish correct values in their studies, lives, and growth. In response to the diverse needs of our students, the team designs specialised courses and comprehensive learning activities, while encouraging active participation from parents and the community to realise the spirit of collaborative education.
Through these efforts, we hope that students can grow comprehensively in knowledge, emotions, and behaviours, ultimately becoming proactive individuals who contribute to society.
