Play, Learn, Grow: Introducing Systems Thinking and SDGs through Game Design
Language Learning Hub
Overview
What happens when students design their own games based on the Sustainable Development Goals?
They learn to do deep research and become experts in their chosen topics, develop comprehensive critical thinking and systems thinking skills, explore the power of new interactive media formats, take agency over their own project-based learning, and – most importantly – have fun!
In this hands-on, 45-minute session, leading game-based education company Press Start Academy will lead the participants through the game design process to create own ideas for teaching.
The participants will also get to play digital games and experience physical creations designed by students across the world based on various social impact themes, as part of the Games for Change Student Challenge, and learn about how to participate in the growing global movement around designing Games for Change.
