EDB InnoTheatre
Overview
“Active Students, Active People” (ASAP) Campaign MVPA60 Mobile Application Design Competition, organised by the Education Bureau (EDB), aims to encourage students to design a mobile application that, through creative programming, enhances motivation to participate in physical activities. Teachers and students of Yuen Long Public Middle School Alumni Association Tang Siu Tong Secondary School won first place in the competition. The app is integrated with a smart exercise bracelet that utilizes heart rate monitoring to track time spent on moderate to vigorous exercise. Students can exchange their exercise time for tokens and purchase props within the app to maintain an electronic pet, aiming to promote regular exercise through an innovative gaming approach.
Participants could get:
1. Experience in promoting healthy lifestyles through creative approaches in schools
2. Good example of cross-curricular collaborative activities
