Overview

This seminar aims to share the newly-developed “Interactive Map on the History of Tourism in Hong Kong (1880-1990) (Trial Version)” by Department of History, Hong Kong Baptist University commissioned by the Personal, Social and Humanities Education Section, Education Bureau, and some relevant learning and teaching strategies, and introduce how the interactive map can help promote the development of Secondary History curriculum and the application of e-learning strategies and enable students to learn history in an innovative manner.

The seminar will share on the design, functions and contents of the newly-developed “Interactive Map on the History of Tourism in Hong Kong (1880-1990) (Trial Version)” to illustrate the social and economic development of Hong Kong in the 20th century from the new perspective of Tourism History; and share learning and teaching strategies with the use of interactive map, so as to enhance the effectiveness of teachers in using e-learning tools to facilitate history learning.

Participants can have a glimpse of the functions and content of the interactive map and the social and economic development of Hong Kong in the 20th century from the new perspective of Tourism History, and gain new learning and teaching inspirations on using e-learning strategies, thereby bringing creativity and motivation to the learning and teaching in History and humanities subjects.
